My Message on World Car Free Day

First - the petition(there is a paper version of it but this signed Trans Am NOT is sure to get more attention than that):

This is what my parking space looked like:To which I later added: DRIVE RESPONSIBLY and Do you REALLY need to drive today? And THIS is my friend Galen (only 15!) who's helping me with our Free Hugs Campaign, as much his idea as my own - and launched at World Car Free Day! on Queen Street.

PS KENSINGTON is this Sunday the 30th (should be interesting after Nuit Blanche) and this fabulous festival began as a Parking Meter Party a couple of years ago - Now its one of the biggest events in Kensington Market.

I'll be there in my Storytime Tent between 2 and 5pm (a great place for tired tots to chill out and caregivers to chat uninterrupted) and prolly giving out more FREE HUGS - Maybe I'll see YOU there too!

High Park Cancelled - Again:(

I know some of you check in here and I'm hoping you might before 11 today - if you do, please tell your friends:)
So -
we have one more week in September (the 25th) - I'll be sending it all my bright warm sunshiny energy in hopes we can all gather one more time before the frost...

Brrrr!

I do have some lovely pics sent from a Dad who was there one day! I just got them but here's a preview:

Well, I can't do anything about Mother Nature - no matter how hard I may try.

That's what? 3 weeks rained out (although we did have a very nice little Thursday Circle, one week) and now my little girl's down with an ear infection - Here's something to look out for - swimmers ear.

She got it this summer at camp and now, it seems its come back only a few weeks later after spending a few days at Great Wolf Lodge (which is an amazing waterslide park, btw).

So - she's been up half the night now and I want to let her sleep as she's also been sick since Saturday night and I've got to get her to the doctor sooner than later. Even just grazing her ear with the hairbrush was painful last night. Of course, she didn't mention anything until then either.*sigh* To be fair, its nothing like when she was little - she so rarely gets ill now and even then, its not nearly so nerve wracking as when she was wee.
